Alone in The Dark 2 is based three months of the original and is based around the investigation of a young Grace Saunders.
The investigation and the trail of clues leads you an old mansion named Hell’s Kitchen the home of a gangster boss and the rest of his gang. Ted disappears and turns up murdered sparking for Edward to continue his investigation alone.
Alone In The Dark 2 Gameplay
Unfortunately the gameplay in this sequel is a lot less based around the horror feel which is really a letdown. While there is still some supernatural things happening the game just doesn’t feel the same.
The pirates and gangsters in the game are later revealed to be possessed by evil spirits and appear very zombie like in appearance. They however don’t really feel like zombies as they will arm themselves with Tommy Guns and shout at you.
A plus about the sequel is the game is much larger and then original and doesn’t just focus around the mansion but also looks at the surrounding gardens and a pirate ship hidden underneath the house.
Time to time you will also get the chance to take control of Grace Saunders however she cannot fight and is instantly captured by the pirates if they spot her you will need to sneak around and defeat the gangsters using traps and other house hold objects.
Overall the game is decent but is not as good as the prequel to this game but is still taking a look at and even playing for a little bit until you get bored of it.
