Doom is a horror based first person shooter that has been one of the world’s most popular games. The sci fi game is based around unnamed solider who was sent to mars after disagreement with the commanding officer who fired on civilians. Post on mars with no action to be ever seen the soldiers luck changes as demons start pouring out of a gateway.
If you love first person shooter games then you would certainly love this. There are sever sequels to this version of Doom but this one is still considered the best by some people. Doom is also one of the first games that many people had played making it an amazing to go back and have a play through bringing back memories.
Doom Gameplay
In the game you will have an arsenal of weapons available to you however when you very first start out all you are armed with is a pistol and some fists. Latter on a variety of better and stronger weapons can be picked up these include chainsaws, shotguns, plasma rifles and much more. You will also have hit points and armour. Much like most first person shooters once you run out of hit points you will die so make you sure you keep your health topped up.
Each level in the game has exit however getting to the exit is often a lot harder then what it may first seem. You will need to often unlock doors by find key cards or finding remote switches and much more other things to make it harder for you.
There are many different enemies that you will come across these range from easy to kill smaller units and much harder to kill demons. Each have different attacks so it would help to learn what each enemy will do so you can use a tactic to best take down that type of enemy.
Summary
Overall Doom is an amazing game that many people have loved and played over the years. The game is still played quite often and the sequels have done pretty well keeping true to the Doom legacy. If you really want a good FPS to play then you should check out this game.
